S2E3: The One with the Live Indoctrination
Sunday Feb 12, 2023
Sunday Feb 12, 2023
TW/CW: This episode features audio recorded from a church service/ baby dedication. If you are sensitive or triggered by church language or church services, please skip this episode or continue with the proper mindset and self-care.
In this episode, Phil and Susie discuss a baby dedication that Susie attended for her sister's child at a Seventh Day Adventist church. We dissect the pastor's dedication speech line by line and do some classic exegetical breakdown of everything he says and why it's such flawed theology. We talk about child indoctrination, secularism, the nature of belief and unbelief, and we delve into the 10 Commandments and discuss why they might not be such great guides to live by.
