Flawed Theology

In today's episode, Phil and Susie delve into some of the early childhood objections that Susie had to Christianity.  We will discuss the objections, how Christians might respond to these objections, and how we view these objections now as adults who've left the faith.  Asking these questions and exploring these objections would be viewed a heresy in our previous lives, so we named this episode "The One with the Heretical Objections" to poke the idea of heresy in the eye a bit, since the real heresy is Christianity.  
Passage mentioned by Susie about "shriveled" hands: https://biblia.com/bible/rsv/leviticus/21/16-23  (hebrew word used is sheber, meaning a breaking, fracture, crushing, breach, crash).  "Shriveled" may not be the best way to describe this, but that's how Susie interpreted and remembered this passage due to personal experience :)

April is a content creator who uses humor to shine light on the harmful, toxic and sometimes just weird traits of evangelicalism. She now identifies as a "recovering conservative" and is navigating through her own faith deconstruction journey through a comedic lens on social media.

Today Phil and Susie will be talking about the claim that the Bible is inerrant, and how we can use the Bible itself to disprove that claim.  We are gonna split this up into a 2 part episode because there’s so much to cover so we want to be able to really dig into this topic because it’s a fun one! Today’s episode will focus on what inerrancy is, a little history of how we got the modern day Bible, especially the NT,  look into some various types of contradictions that are rampant throughout the text and then what a failure of inerrancy would really mean for Christianity.
